Sweet Caroline Vail

I'd like to introduce you all to our sweet baby girl, Caroline Henley Vail!  She arrived at 7:57 AM on September 4, 2017 (on Labor Day).  At birth she weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.  She looked so much like Jackson did when he was born!  She has already bulked up to 9 pounds 5 ounces and she is the most mellow baby ever (hallelujah!).  Jack is adjusting well to his new role as big brother, and he likes to touch her little feet and hands and cover her with a blanket.  He also likes to try to sit in the baby swing, infant carseat, and my lap while I'm nursing.  He fusses when she fusses and isn't the most gentile (he is only 22 months old, after all) but he's getting better every single day.  It's a big adjustment for all of us but we are so incredibly happy.  As with Jackson's name, we went with two family names for Caroline.  Caroline is a family name on my husband's side of the family, and Henley is my dad's grandfather's name.  I've been working on her birth story and hope to share it within the next week or two.  I had an emergency c-section with Jack but had a successful VBAC with Caroline, so the entire experience was completely different this time around and couldn't have gone any better.  Stay tuned!

    1. Thanks Jennifer! I am guilty of that too. And thanks about the VBAC! I'm so glad it all worked out how it did. I was so nervous it wouldn't!
