On My Mind...Lately

May 30, 2014
Wow, I can't believe it's already Friday!  I love long weekends for two reasons: 1) an extra day off and 2) a short work week.  Here is a round-up of what's been on my mind lately.  (No collage this week...just switched from a PC to a Mac, and I'm waiting on my Photoshop platform swap.)

1. I am obsessed with this DIY Acrylic Curtain Rod by Grace Mitchell of A Storied Style.  It's such a brilliant idea, and I will definitely do this DIY once I own a home (for now it's hanging out on Pinterest waiting until the perfect moment).  Such a unique conversation starter (who would have thought curtain rods could be a conversation starter?)!

2.  Well, The Everygirl did it again and featured another amazing home!  I always love the home tours on the blog, but at the moment I'm especially crazy for Katherine Vo's home.  I love the funky and eclectic flair, as well as the unique color combinations.  Definitely one of my favorite homes I've seen lately.  I'd kill for a campaign chest just like this one.  Check out the rest of her home if you have a chance!

3.  I turned my nose up at eggplant for years, but finally decided to give it a go about a year ago...and fell in love.  Since then, I'm always on the lookout for another delicious eggplant recipe.  I saw this grilled eggplant Parmesan recipe in the May issue of Coastal Living, and I'm hoping the rain goes away this weekend so that I can cook it outside on the grill.  I'm getting hungry just looking at this picture!

4.  J.Crew is the most dangerous store for me.  Everything they sell is pretty and fun, and the dresses fit me perfectly.  I'm currently loving this fun paneled flare dress.  Definitely don't need it, but that's never stopped me before!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

    1. Thanks for reading, Yang! Yeah I just thought the idea was so great that I had to share. How cool would they look with colorful, bright curtains? I can't wait to buy a home so I can do projects like this.
