Upcoming Excitement!!! (I'm definitely NOT expecting, so don't worry)

November 20, 2013
Well, I got some AMAZING news a few weeks ago!  It has to do with my apartment, and that's all I can share at the moment.  I have a lot of preparation to do, so this past weekend included trips to Z Gallerie, West Elm, Kate Spade, Anthropologie, CB2 and a few other places to pick up some last minute treasures I needed to finally put the finishing touches on my apartment.  I don't know when I'll be able to share the news, but I can say I'm definitely so stinking excited!!!  Here are a few of the items I picked up on my shopping trip.

I really wanted a floor lamp to go next to the lucite table I'm using as my bar "cart."  I had a turquoise lamp on the table but moved it to the table on the other side of the sofa.  I found a lamp I loved at Z Gallerie but they were all out and wouldn't sell me the floor model (so frustrated and mad about that rule...).  Settled on this guy even though I'm really not a fan of Pier One at all...

Lucite wine rack from CB2 to replace my old black metal wine rack.  Bonus: this holds 12 bottles and my old one only held 6!

Little ring holder from Anthropologie.  That place really has the best bowls, dishes and cute little knickknacks.

Kate Spade gold dot candle!  Couldn't resist this beauty, plus the whole store was 25% off!  Also scooped up a pair of black boots I've been coveting that were already on sale!

A set of 8 little appetizer trays from C. Wonder (thanks Tom!).  4 are chevron, 4 are ikat, all are gold and lovely.  I know they are technically for food but I found a couple other uses for them because they are just too pretty to sit in a drawer!

Awesome candle from Anthropologie!  There were 2 or 3 other options, and all the lids were Christmasy.  I figures I could use an antler any time of year, which is why I chose this one.  The scent is really nice too!  I got a few other gems too, but these were some of my favorites.  I'll let you know what's happening as soon as I can!  Here is a hint though, the next step involves lots and lots of cleaning...

    1. Hi Katie! It's actually the lid of a candle from Anthropologie! Cost about $30, smells really great, and it's gold so I couldn't resist. I had a hard time deciding which one to get, but figured the antler could be used year round and the others were more seasonal. Thanks for checking out my blog!
